Students can win a $1,000, $500, or $250 cash prize, and a matching donation for their school, by creating a 60-second video that emphasizes the importance of "financializing" for the future. Chase and the i.am.angel Foundation announced the opening of the Chase Homeownership Center in Boyle Heights, CA. The center will offer face-to-face counseling for borrowers who are struggling to make their mortgage payments. In partnership with the East LA Community Corporation (ELACC), the Boyle Heights center will also offer home-buying and financial literacy education for both Chase and non-Chase customers. Utah students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to design a bookmark to be submitted to the Utah Educational Savings Plan (UESP) 2012 Make Your Mark Bookmark contest. UESP and Zions Bank will award a total of eight $1,000 UESP college savings certificates. The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) Foundation and sponsoring CBA member banks have partnered with Ashoka’s Youth Venture to create the Banking on Youth competition. Banking on Youth invites young people between the ages of 13 and 20 to submit a creative 90-second video and brief entry form to share their idea for an entrepreneurial venture that will directly benefit society. The top six national finalists will receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to attend the Youth Venture Summit to compete in a pitch-off. One National Grand Prize Award winner will receive $15,000 and one Audience Choice Award winner will receive $5,000.
