02.22.07 TWO PROMOTED AT INFORMA RESEARCH SERVICES FIELD AND TAB DIVISION


SEATTLE, WASHINGTON (February 22, 2006)

Informa Research Services today announced executive promotions at its Seattle, WA office, which houses its Field and Tab Division.

Jackie Weise, a marketing research professional widely known regionally and nationally, has been promoted to Vice President by Informa Research Services.

As Vice President for Field Services Sales, she will continue serving companies like Microsoft while enlarging Informa’s commitment to provide marketing research data acquisition, data management, and data delivery for new clients.

Mitchell P. Thornburgh has been promoted to Director, Business Development & Client Services, Field and Tab Division, by Informa Research Services.

Mr. Thornburgh adds responsibility for developing new clients for Informa while he continues to lead the team of project directors serving Field Services clients in the Pacific northwest and nationally.

With over twenty-five years of market research experience, Ms. Weise has managed thousands of quantitative and qualitative research studies in a variety of disciplines to determine public opinion and attitudes toward a variety of products and services as well as current social, political, and economic issues. She is well-versed in all phases of research using a variety of methodologies including focus groups, telephone surveys, mail studies, business to business surveys, intercepts, audits, web surveys, usability tests, taste tests, door-to-door and in depth interviewing.

Ms. Weise has designed and administered interviewer and management training programs to increase quality and productivity. She has initiated incentive programs, conducted management seminars, and presented to numerous professional organizations to educate and promote the importance of market research.

Prior to acquisition by Informa Research Services, Inc., she served twelve years as a Principal and Executive Vice President at Market Trends, Inc., where she handled Corporate Operations and ten years with U. S. Research of Chicago, IL, as National Field Director where she was responsible for the daily operations of 20 mall locations nationwide. Ms. Weise started her career at Quality Controlled Services as Assistant Manager of the Seattle office. Her expertise comes from the field up.

Ms. Weise is currently Immediate Past President of the Northern California/Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Marketing Research Association and recently received her Professional Researchers’ Certification, PRC, at the Expert level.

Mr. Thornburgh has long had an interest in market research, which he finds to be a very useful tool in providing marketing consulting. Upon earning his degree from Western Washington University, he has had a wide range of research experience. These experiences include studies in the areas of emerging technologies, new product development, positioning and launches, customer retention, and marketing effectiveness. Mr. Thornburgh is also an experienced focus group moderator. Mr. Thornburgh was a Principal, Vice President and Director at Market Trends before the company was acquired by Informa Research Services. Before joining Market Trends, Mr. Thornburgh was the Director of Research for GTE Alaska, overseeing customer satisfaction, new services, advertising, and marketing implementation.

Mr. Thornburgh has also taken his expertise to colleges, where he taught marketing classes, spoke on various topics, and has assisted in helping graduating students get into the technology and research industry. He also has been called on to speak at technology and research industry events.
